The aim of Funeral Advisor is to help people get the funerals they want. The site has been produced as a collaboration between Impermanence and the Natural Death Centre.
Over 60% of people haven't told anyone about their funeral preference. People arranging funeral often have little idea what they want, and often are under considerable emotional and time pressure.
Also there is massive variation in the funeral industry. An empathic and supportive undertaker can offer so much in terms of honouring the dead and promoting healing for those left behind. There are many of these about but unfortunately there are many undertakers who are less skilled or able to meet their customers needs.
We believe that funerals matter - and there are no second chances.
Funeral Adivisor is our response to the UK funeral industry. It is a free service where customers can search for funeral directors and write reviews about their experiences. Funeral directors can also list their 'basic funeral' and 'direct cremation' options to increase awareness of pricing.
